Margaret (Maggie) Knowles (nee Patrick). Maggie passed away on the 26th February 2003. She had just celebrated her 50th birthday. She grew up in Moulsecoomb and was the 2nd oldest of 10 children - 6 girls and 4 boys.
She was diagnosed with cancer in late 2002 and died the following February with her family around her.
She was a very active and fit person and used to play for the Brighton Ladies football team in the 70's. She was also in the Territorial Army for a while. She was a very bubbly and friendly person and would go out of her way to help anybody. Whenever we had a family do she was always in the middle of it and the life and soul of the party. As a big sister I remember when I was very young she was always there for me if I was upset about anything and make me feel better with a hug.
She loved her children dearly. She was mother to Anna-Marie, Julie-Ann, Suzanne, Mark and Joanna.
We all love and miss her more than words can say. Sleep tight sweetheart. xxxxxxx
